The 26th Ukrainian Fashion Week drew the attention of journalists by an unconventional fashion collection dedicated to “Euro-Atlantic collection” . The collection was designed by Lviv fashion designer designer Olena Dats’. It was created at the initiative of the Institute of World Politics, which decided that the NATO subject has “gathered too much dust in bureaucrats’ office rooms and thus needs a fresh non-political look”, wrote the newspaper The Day.

“The movement towards European integration has various dimensions,” said Volodymyr hryzko, former foreign minister of Ukraine who visited the show along with the other foreign and Ukrainian diplomats, “and this is one of its dimensions. For we should not discuss NATO in “straight terms” only: we should seek other interesting and easy-to-grasp forms of explanation”. “Today’s event is far away from politics. And this is why it will promote an understanding of what NATO is,” Georgia’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Grigol Katamadze, told The Day. And The

Epoch Times-Ukraine magazine concluded: “One thing is clear for now: talking about NATO has become fashionable”. It should be noted that the collection received enthusiastic and welcoming comments by the Ukrainian media.

The Institute of World Politics will hold an auction to sell 10 exclusive dresses from the Collection. The raised funds will be used by the Institute to organize a visit of student leaders to NATO headquarters and the European Commission.
